Four Bulls Win Gold at 2010 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament

Team Canada defeated the United States 1-0 in the gold medal game of the 2010 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka U18 Tournament Saturday in Piestany, Slovakia. Canada finished the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record, outscoring their opposition 26-9. It is the third consecutive gold medal in the event for Canada and sixth in the past seven years.

Belleville Bulls goaltender Tyson Teichmann stopped all 22 shots he faced to earn the shutout in the gold medal game. Teichmann finished the tournament with a 4-0 record along with a sparkling 2.00 GAA and .922 SV%. Forwards Austen Brassard and Michael Curtis were held off the scoreboard in the victory. Bulls General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett served as Canada's Head Coach in the event and won his second career gold medal as Canada's Summer Under 18 Head Coach.
