SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Sports is the theme of tonight's South Main Trolley Night in downtown Memphis, and your Mississippi RiverKings will be there.

The South Main Historic Arts District hosts Trolley Night on the final Friday evening of each month. This month's event will celebrate Memphis sports teams "of all shapes and sizes," including the Mid-South's longest active professional sports franchise, the Mississippi RiverKings.

As part of the evening's activities, the RiverKings will set up a tent at the corner of South Main and G.E. Patterson with information on the upcoming season.

RiverKings' mascot Sheldon the Turtle will be on hand, and there might even be a player sighting or two. You'll just have to come out to find out.

Trolley Night is named for the trolley that runs the length of South Main in the downtown area of Memphis. This month's event is also sponsoring The Streetdog Foundation, a local group that helps homeless dogs in need of medical attention and care.

More information on Trolley Night can be found on the South Main Memphis website .

An exciting season of RiverKings hockey will be back in the Mid-South in October. Get your season tickets now for the 19th year of professional hockey in the Mid-South by calling 662-342-1755 or go online to www.riverkings.com today!
