Stampede Kick Off Tryout Camp

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today their tentative schedule for their 2010-11 tryout camp in Minneapolis this Friday, June 4-Monday, June 7. The camp will once again take place on the campus of the University of Minnesota at Ridder Arena and will be free and open to the public.

This year's camp will include 75 players from across the United States as well as Finland, Sweden, Canada, Russia and Austria. The list of players at camp include the 15 young men on the Herd's protected list prior to the draft, 15 draft picks and several other players who are attending on a special invite.

Of the 75 players in camp, 25 will be selected to attend Stampede training camp in late August. The Stampede can carry 25 players through the pre-season, but most trim their final roster to 23 players by the beginning of the regular season.

Once again several former Stampede players will serve as coaches during camp. An announcement on the coaches will be made tomorrow (Wednesday).
