Belleville Bulls News Release
Belleville Bulls goaltender Tyson Teichmann is one of 14 netminders selected to participate in the fifth annual Hockey Canada Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp being held June 17-20 in Calgary. Teichmann is one of five goaltenders from the under 18 age group slated to participate.
All 14 goaltenders were selected by Hockey Canada based on evaluations done by Head Scout Al Murray during the 2009-10 season and in consultation with coaches, general managers and team officials throughout the CHL.
The camp will include both on-ice and off-ice sessions. Hockey Canada goaltender consultant Ron Tugnutt will lead a group of instructors who will provide both the participants and Hockey Canada with detailed reports at the conclusion of the camp.
Teichmann played 30 games in his rookie season with Belleville, recording a 6-14-0-2 record along with a 4.29 GAA and .875 SV%. He also won a silver medal with Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge. Teichmann was the Bulls first round pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
