Al The Ice Gorilla To Appear At Syracuse Symphony Orchestra's

Syracuse, NY (May 3, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that Al the Ice Gorilla will appear at the Mulroy Civic Center from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8 prior to the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra's (SSO) performance of The Magical Music of Disney.

The pre-concert entertainment will also feature an instrument petting zoo along with free bagels, juice and cereal bars in the orchestral level lobby.

The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra will hold its final performances of the The Magical Music of Disney in the 2009-10 M&T Bank Pops Series this Friday, May 7 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m. (family concert) and 8 p.m. at the Mulroy Civic Center.

Under the direction of conductor Ron Spigelman, the SSO will perform classic Disney pieces from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Rescuers Down Under and Tarzan, which will be accompanied by visual projection of Disney movie images and video clips.

Tickets for the Saturday, May 8 family concert at 10:30 a.m. are $9 for children and $18 for adults. Tickets for the Friday, May 7 and Saturday May 8 shows at 8 p.m. start at $20.
