
Charlotte Stone Crabs Host Breast Cancer Awareness Night

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs will host their second annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Advanced Imaging of Port Charlotte on Saturday, May 8 at Charlotte Sports Park.
The entire Stone Crabs team will wear pink uniforms during their game against the Bradenton Marauders for the special "Pink in the Park" event, and the jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with all of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
"With the help of our great fans, we raised more than $2,400 for Susan G. Komen last year, and we hope to do even more this year," said Stone Crabs general manager Joe Hart.
In addition to the game, Stone Crabs players will also make an appearance at the Port Charlotte Town Center mall on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Several players and team mascot Stoney will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures free of charge. In addition, the Stone Crabs will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation from every ticket purchased at the mall event.
