66ers To Face Vipers In NBA D-League Finals

TULSA, Okla., April 22, 2010 - The Tulsa 66ers will face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA D-League Finals, beginning with Game One this Sunday, April 25 at 4 p.m. CT at the Tulsa Convention Center. Each game of the best-of-three Finals series will be broadcasted nationally on the VERSUS network. The 66ers are in the midst of their first-ever playoff run since the franchise's inaugural season in 2005.

Tickets for Game One in downtown Tulsa are on-sale to the general public now at the BOK Center box office and at the 66ers front office, located at 2727 E. 21st St., Suite 500 in Tulsa. Fans can also take advantage of a limited and popular special playoff ticket offer, which includes a ticket, a hot dog and a soda for only $11, and is only available as a pre-sale at the 66ers office or by calling (918) 585-8444. As a convenience to fans, the 66ers office will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Beyond the national television broadcast, all 66ers playoff games can be heard on 1300 AM ESPN radio.

The 66ers finished the regular season with a franchise-high 27 wins and are the eighth-seed while the Vipers finished the season atop the West Conference with a record of 34-16 and are the second seed. Tulsa finished 2-4 on the season against the Vipers, including a 2-1 record at home. In reaching the Finals, the 66ers defeated the fourth-seeded Sioux Falls Skyforce in Round One 2-1, and the top-seeded Iowa Energy in the Semi-Finals 2-1.

For the first time, the eight qualifying teams played best-of-three series in both the quarter and semifinals, with each series during the 2010 playoffs going to a deciding Game Three, leading up to the third consecutive year of best-of-three Final series. In all three rounds, the team with lower seed will host the first game, while the team with higher seed will host the second, and, if necessary, third and deciding game.
