
FSL Selects Noesi as Pitcher of the Week

Tampa, Fla.- The Florida State League announced Monday that they have selected Tampa Yankees starter, Hector Noesi, as Pitcher of the Week for the first week of the 2010 season. The period actually covers Opening Day, April 8th through April 18th.
During this time, the right-hander made two starts and recorded victories in both. With his 2-0 record Noesi allowed 5 hits and two earned runs while only giving up one walk. He has combined for 16 total strikeouts for a posted 1.50 ERA.
Hector Noesi was signed by the New York Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on December 3, 2004. The Dominican Republic native is in his fourth year of professional baseball. He posted a 3-0 record in nine starts with the Tampa Yankees in 2009.
