MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Western Conference Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that they have re-acquired shooting guard/small forward Sean Barnette (6-5, 220, Wingate), who was waived due to injury on March 9 with a lower right leg injury suffered during a win at Bakersfield on March 5.
He takes the roster spot of shooting guard Terrel Harris (6-5, 190, Oklahoma State), who was waived due to injury and is expected to miss the remainder of the playoffs with a torn right calf suffered during Saturday's game one victory at Reno.
Barnette averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in four regular season games (one start) after joining the Vipers. Including his time at Iowa, Barnette averaged 6.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 29 games (two starts). He is expected to be in uniform tonight.
Harris recorded three rebounds and two assists in 9:21 before suffering the injury on Saturday. In two regular season games after joining the Vipers, Harris scored four points with four rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes. Including 22 games with the Maine Red Claws, Harris averaged 5.7 points and 2.5 rebounds.
