DENVER NUGGETS SIGN BAKERSFIELD'S BRIAN BUTCH AND IDAHO'S COBY KARL
The Denver Nuggets today signed center Brian Butch of the Bakersfield Jam and guard Coby Karl of the Idaho Stampede making them the 37th and 38th GATORADE Call-Ups of the 2009-10 NBA Development League season. Butch appeared in 39 games, 38 starts, for Bakersfield this season, averaging 17.7 points, a 11.9 rebounds (second in the NBA D-League) and 1.7 assists in 33.9 minutes. He scored in double figures 36 times and recorded 25 double-doubles during the season. Karl appeared in 26 games, all starts, for the Stampede this season, averaging 19.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 38.8 minutes. He scored in double figures 23 times, recording a season-high 36 points in back-to-back games in January.

Three Oklahoma City Thunder assignees combined for 61 points, 17 rebounds and nine assists, as the Tulsa. Kyle Weaver finished with a team-high 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Mustafa Shakur added 23 points and five boards, and Byron Mullens contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Larry Owens had 21 points and five rebounds, while Latavious Williams recorded a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds...The Skyforce were led by Kirk Penney with a game-high 36 points, while Chris McCray added 22 points and seven assists, including 11-for-11 from the free throw line. Greg Stiemsma added a double-double of 10 points and 15 boards.
Curtis Jerrells led the Toros with 25 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Alonzo Gee added 24 points and Eddie Basden notched a double-double of12 points, 10 rebounds. Squeaky Johnson added a season-high 19 points Lester Hudson led the Wizards with 21 points and seven rebounds. Corsley Edwards notched a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds).
Mark Tyndale and Pat Carroll combined to score 47 points for Iowa, 24 and 23 respectively, and both added seven rebounds apiece. Connor Atchley finished the game with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Phoenix assignee Taylor Griffin pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds...Utah was led by Orien Greene's 22 points and 10 rebounds. Bennet Davis added 20 points and 10 boards for the Flash.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
21 players with NBA D-League experience competed in seven NBA games last night, eight as starters.
Houston's Aaron Brooks finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Rockets.
Starting for Golden State, Anthony Tolliver recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Teammate Reggie Williams added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors.
As a starter for New York, Earl Barron notched another double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
