Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Los Angeles Angels' website is reporting that left-hander Scott Kazmir could start for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Friday night at The Epicenter, in what would be just the Quakes' second game of the 2010 California League season.

A strained left hamstring landed Kazmir on the disabled list on Saturday. The move is retroactive to March 31st, which means that should Kazmir's scheduled tune-up on Friday night with the Quakes go according to plan, he would then start for the Angels on April 15th, when they visit the defending World Series Champion New York Yankees.

Kazmir joined the Angels last season, after being dealt by Tampa Bay in late August. The southpaw went 2-2 in six starts, with an incredible 1.73 ERA, helping the Angels to their third straight American League West Crown.

Friday will be a big night at The Epicenter and plenty of great seats are available. In addition to the possibility of Kazmir taking the hill for the Quakes, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE Allstar KIA 2010 Quakes Magnet Schedule, thanks to Allstar Kia and AM 1510 The SPA. Game time is 7:05pm, as the Quakes host the Inland Empire 66ers.

Be sure and join us for Thursday night's Season Opener, with Buffalo Wild Wings Thirsty Thursday and Post-Game Fireworks. For just $2 each, fans can enjoy 16 oz domestic beers and 20 oz sodas, all thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings and X103.9.

Tickets are available for all Quakes regular season games by calling (909) 481-5000 or online at rcquakes.com. We hope to see you at The Epicenter, for the most affordable family entertainment in the Inland Empire. Thanks and Go Quakes!
