BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Chicago Red Stars of Women's Professional Soccer announce the return of their official partnership with AthletiCo, a leading provider of physical and occupational therapy throughout Illinois and Milwaukee.

AthletiCo, which teamed up with the Red Stars for the inaugural 2009 WPS season, will provide athletic training and orthopedic rehabilitation for the team throughout its 2010 and 2011 seasons.

"AthletiCo has proven to be an important part of our health care team and we are very pleased to have them return as an official partner," Red Stars General Manager Marcia McDermott said. "Our athletes are used to the highest quality care and so it's crucial that we work with the very best."

As part of the partnership, AthletiCo is an official sponsor of Chicago Red Stars Camps, which run throughout the summer, and is a presenting partner of the Illinois Women's Soccer League's Adopt-a-Player program. Through the Adopt-a-Player program, various teams throughout the Chicagoland area will adopt players from the Red Stars for special autographed cards, practice visits and tips.

AthletiCo's corporate offices are located at 625 Enterprise Drive in Oak Brook, Ill. For more information about AthletiCo, visit www.AthletiCo.com or call (630) 575-6200.

AthletiCo works with numerous professional sports franchises. In November, AthletiCo was named the recipient of the 2009 Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Hospital/Clinic Award for commitment to the athletic training and sports medicine profession. Recently, AthletiCo was named the recipient of the 2010 Great Lakes Trainers Association's Public Relations Award.
