Edinburg Roadrunners News Release

Edinburg, Texas--- The Edinburg Roadrunners continue their active off-season roster shuffling with another trade that returns a familiar face for the upcoming 2010 season.

In their most recent move the Roadrunners reacquired first baseman Daryl Jones from the Chico Outlaws for infielder Matt Imwalle.

Jones last played in Edinburg in 2008 appearing in 84-games, hitting.288 with 11-homeruns and 53-runs batted in. He also stole 32-bases. Jones played in 2009 with the Long Beach Armada of the Golden Baseball League.

"Jones gives our lineup an infusion of instant offense that really should have a positive impact this season," said Field Manager Vince Moore.

Imwalle had only been with the Roadrunners for about a week after coming over from El Paso for Bryan Smith.

The Edinburg Roadrunners Baseball Club is a charter member of the United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Edinburg, Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
