
Date Set For 2010 Hillcats Open House

The Hillcats have set the date for their 2010 Open House, which will be held on Saturday, April 3rd from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Lynchburg City Stadium. The event is free to attend and will include free food and drink, free batting practice on Calvin Falwell Field for kids 14 and under, free use of the Hillcats inflatables, free tours of the Hillcats skyboxes and the Catty Shack will be open with special discounted prices!
The public is welcome at the Hillcats annual event and the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and a drink.
At 11:30 a.m. the Hillcats Home Run Derby will get under way with local media personalities vying for this years derby crown. A few returning contestants include Steve Cross from Sunny FM, Kenny Shelton from WYYD, Chris Lang from The News & Advance and Cody Gray from The Planet.
Following the home run derby, fans under the age of 14 are encouraged to come down on to the field for free batting practice. Kids can take their hacks on the same diamond that the professionals do every season at City Stadium!
Throughout the open house the Hillcats two inflatables, the speed pitch and the kids bouncy, will be up and running and free throughout the day. The Hillcats luxury skyboxes will also be available for free tours be our guests. The Hillcats team shop, the Catty Shack, will be open during the open house with special discounts on souvenirs!
