QMJHL surpasses 1.5 million fans mark

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, February 4, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today revealed its latest attendance report and the statistics show that the Quebec Remparts and the Shawinigan Cataractes are still leading the way with rises of 658 and 560 fans per game respectively. The Drummondville and Victoriaville franchises are also benefiting from hikes in attendance of just over 200 fans per contest.
The Quebec Remparts attracted the season's biggest crowd on January 29 with 13,712 fans attending the game versus the Halifax Mooseheads. No less than eight teams have average above 3,000 fans per game so far this season.
Overall attendance is down slightly from last season (-3.3%) after 465 games. Nonetheless, the League has once again surpassed the 1.5 million fans mark during the month of January.
