RED CLAWS WAIVE MICHAEL WILLIAMS

The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they have waived Michael Williams. Williams, a 6-11, 245 lb. center out of Bryant College, appeared in eight games for the Red Claws. With the assignment of Lester Hudson earlier this week and the waiving on Williams, the Red Claws roster now stands at 11 players, including two NBA contracted players.

Carlos Powell scored 40 points and added six rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead Albuquerque to a 115-111 victory over the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Powell's 40 points is the most scored in a single game in the NBA D-League this season.

Joe Crawford paced the D-Fenders with 24 points, while Diamon Simpson added 18.

Greg Stiemsma recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks for the Skyforce. Steimsma's 10 blocks tied a franchise record and his triple-double was the first by a Skyforce player since Corey Williams' on March 6, 2006. Keith Brumbaugh and Reggie Williams shared team-highs with 22 points apiece and Mike Nelson added a season-high 14

JameOn Curry scored a game-high 27 points to go along with eight assists. Morris Almond contributed 22 points while TJ Cummings (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Major Wingate (11 points, 10 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles.

Desmon Farmer led all scorers with 34 points for Reno. Mo Charlo kicked-in nine points with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Rod Benson finished with 14 points, seven boards and five steals.

Mustafa Shakur finished with 19 points and seven assists, while Zabian Dowdell came off the bench to chip-in 25 for the 66ers. D.J. White and Bryon Mullens, both on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, combined for 38 points and 17 boards for Tulsa.

Ronald Howard led all scorers with 29 points on the game on 4 of 5 shooting from the three point line. Jared Reiner and Rob Kurz both recorded double-doubles, Reiner with 22 points and 19 rebounds, and Kurz with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

The Dakota Wizards were led by Romel Beck, who had 16 points. Dakota also received outstanding bench play from Jason Straight (14 points, six rebounds and four assists) and Renaldo Major (11 points, seven rebounds and five assists).

The Energy were led by Cartier Martin with 25 points. Curtis Stinson chipped in 23 and Earl Barron added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The BayHawks scoring was led by Donell Taylor with 25 points and 10 rebounds to mark a double-double. John Bryant added his sixth double-double performance of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Trey Gilder had a game-high with 28 and three other Red Claws finished in double digits

Jeremy Wise led the way for Bakersfield with a team-high 24 as the Jam beat Maine 115-98.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

18 players with NBA D-League experience competed in five NBA games last night, four as starters.

As a starter for Houston, Aaron Brooks led the Rockets with 23 points in 30 minutes of play.

Jose Juan Barea scpred 13 points and added four assists as a starter for the Dallas Mavericks.
