
Key Leader Returns for 8th Season with the Storm

Mark Blackburn has committed to making 2010 his 8th season with the Storm.
This veteran holds the Storm career tackles record with 687.5. In 2009, Blackburn totaled 63.5 tackles and 4 sacks.
"Mark has been the heartbeat of this team from day one," said Storm owner, Todd Tryon. "His presence immediately ups everybody's intensity."
Blackburn tied for 2nd in the UIF in forced fumbles in 2008. In 2006, Blackburn finished fourth in the league in tackles with 94.5. He led the Storm defense to the first and only shutout in UIF history with a 71-0 victory over Peoria. The University of South Dakota alum finished the 2005 season with 97.5 tackles ranking third in the UIF.
