
Reno's Comeback Bid Falls Short In 114-112 Loss To Sioux Falls

RENO, Nev.- Reno used a 12-0 run in the game's final minutes to take a two-point lead with 28 seconds remaining, but a three-point field goal by Skyforce forward Keith Brumbaugh with 15 seconds left lifted Sioux Falls to a 114-112 victory over the Bighorns Friday night at Sioux Falls Arena.
The Bighorns (4-4) trailed 110-100 with less than six minutes to play, but responded with 12 unanswered points to take a 112-110 with 28 seconds left to play. Brumbaugh's three-pointer from the corner put Sioux Falls (5-3) back in the lead, 113-112, with 15 seconds remaining.
Desmon Farmer's ensuing running shot attempt in the lane was blocked and Russell Robinson's put-back attempt missed the mark. Sioux Falls converted one of two free throw attempts on the other end to the seal the victory and end Reno's three-game winning streak.
Farmer led all scorers with 31 points, while Rod Benson kicked-in a double-double for Reno with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Michael Joiner led five Skyforce players in double figures, registering 21 points. David Bailey pulled down 10 boards for Sioux Falls.
