Shock Add Three To Growing Roster

December 1, 2009 - Arena Football 1 (AF1) Spokane Shock

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Charles Dillon, OL Jamarr Ward, and OL Chris Pino have been added to the 2010 roster.

Dillon, 6-1 202, is the sixth member of the 2009 ArenaCup Champion Shock to join the team for the 2010 season. In his rookie season, Dillon proved to be an important part of Spokane's offensive success in the regular season and in the post season. In 17 games, Dillon recorded 89 receptions - including 23 touchdowns - for 1078 yards.

"Dillon has a lot of God-given abilities and he proved that as a rookie last year," Head Coach Rob Keefe explained. "This year he will be coming into camp with a year of experience under his belt and he can build off of that to be an even better player for the upcoming season." Ward, 6-4 380, is no stranger to the game of Arena Football With over seven years of Arena experience. Ward spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the Kansas City Brigade.

Throughout his career, Ward has earned a reputation as a versatile player who has been able to use his athletic ability and his size to his advantage.

"Jamarr Ward is one of the best offensive linemen to ever play the game of Arena Football," OL Coach Travis Crusenberry said. "He has some of the best footwork in the game and he is extremely athletic. As a veteran of the game, I know he will be able to teach a lot of the younger guys about the game and continue to lead by example."

Ward has played offense and defense but feels at home on the offensive line as a tight end where he has accounted for 16 touchdowns. Pino, 6-5 315, spent the 2008 season with the San Jose SaberCats. He spent the 2007 season on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad. The previous season, Pino split time with the Ravens and the Washington Redskins' practice squads. Pino appeared in eight NFL preseason games during his time with the Redskins and the Ravens.

Pino earned All-Conference honors at Palomar Junior College before transferring to San Diego State University, where he started in 20 games for the Aztecs.

"At six-foot-five, Chris Pino has great size and with his NFL experience he obviously has great abilities," Head Coach Rob Keefe said. "He was a real asset for the SaberCats and I know he can be a real asset for our offensive line here in Spokane."
