Philipp Grubauer and Stephen Silas in NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Rankings

Belleville Bulls goaltender Philipp Grubauer and defenceman Stephen Silas are both listed on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary list for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Silas is the 16th ranked OHL skater while Grubauer is the 2nd ranked OHL goaltender. This preliminary list is the first set of rankings from NHL Central Scouting for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft with mid-term and final rankings still to be released later this season. The 2010 NHL Entry Draft will be held in June in Los Angeles.

Grubauer has enjoyed a strong start to his sophomore season with the Bulls, recording a 7-8-1-2 record along with a 3.36GAA and.910SV%. Last season, Grubauer held a 7-8-0-0 record while also representing Germany at the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championship. The Rosenheim, Germany native was Belleville's first round pick in the 2008 CHL Import Draft.

Silas is also in his second season with the Bulls and has recorded four goals and 17 points while also adding 36 penalty minutes in 23 games played. Last season, Silas scored three times and added 14 assists, as he was named the Bulls Rookie of the Year. The Georgetown, Ontario native won a Gold Medal with Team Canada at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Under 18 Tournament this past August and also won a Gold Medal with Team Ontario at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in January. Silas was the Bulls first round pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.

Since 2005, the Bulls have had 12 players taken in the NHL Entry Draft including Andy Bathgate who was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
