Perras' 47 Saves Earn CHL Performance Of The Week Award

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced today that goaltender J.F. Perras' 47-save effort in a 4-2 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Oct. 30 has been selected as the CHL's Performance of the Week.

Additionally, the team announced that its franchise-best 9-0 win over the Laredo Bucks on Nov. 4 has been named a finalist for this week's award. Fans can vote online at centralhockeyleague.com through Monday, Nov. 16 with the winner being announced a day later. At the end of the regular season, fans can vote on the year's top plays with one being selected as the CHL Performance of the Year.

Perras' 47-save performance earned 191 of the 562 votes cast (34%) during the weekly poll, narrowly edging out Tulsa's Rob Hisey and his five-point effort in a win over the Rapid City Rush on Oct. 27.

The Embrun, Ontario, native turned aside all but two shots in the contest, including 20 first-period attempts and 18 third-period shots, helping his club to a 4-2 victory and points in three-straight contests.

Perras is 3-2-1 on the season with one shutout and ranks sixth overall among CHL netminders with a.915 save percentage (SV%) and ninth overall with a 2.96 goals against average (GAA).
