Bighorns Announce Training Camp Invitees

November 4, 2009 - NBA Development League (D-League) Reno Bighorns

RENO, Nev.- Just prior to Thursday's NBA D-League Draft, the Reno Bighorns have invited nine players to training camp for the 2009-10 season, the organization announced today.

The nine invitees will join Reno's eight draft selections at the Bighorns' training camp, beginning Sunday, Nov. 15.

Among the invitees to camp are former University of Nevada star Mo Charlo and UNLV standout James Peters.

Also invited to camp are four players from last year's Bighorns squad, namely Russell Robinson, Rod Benson, Daryl "Majic" Dorsey and Dave Noel.

Robinson, who helped lead Kansas to the 2007-08 national championship, played in all 50 games for Reno last year, averaging 12.3 PPG and leading the 'Horns in steals and assists. Robinson and Benson were invited to NBA training camps this fall, with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers, respectively.

The Reno Bighorns will give fans an inside look at the 2009 NBA Development League Draft with a special viewing party at Brew Brothers, inside the Eldorado Casino, on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 3:30 p.m.

This free event is open to the public and will feature food and drink specials throughout the draft, door prizes and an appearance by the Bighorns dance team and mascot. Door prizes include autographed mini-basketballs, tickets and photos.
