Beavers To Conduct Fall Baseball Clinics November 14

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers today announced the club will conduct its annual advanced fall baseball clinic series on Nov. 14 at PGE Park. Featuring professional instruction, the one-day clinics will specialize in the areas of hitting and pitching.

The Nike Advanced Fall Clinics are open to kids ages 10-17 and will extensively cover the skill sets of hitting and pitching in a professional environment. The hitting clinic will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m., while the pitching clinic will take place from 12-2 p.m. Each of the independent two-hour clinics costs $75.

The clinics this fall will be taught by Beavers head camps instructor and former hitting coach Tommy Sandt and former major league pitcher Tom Gorman.

Beavers Nike Advanced Fall Clinics

Hitting Clinic Details The Beavers hitting clinic, led by Sandt and Gorman, will help develop and improve a player's swing by breaking down the mechanics of hitting. The hitting clinic will also cover bunting, proper footwork in the box, and follow-through to maximize each swing. Location: PGE Park (batting cages/on-field) Date/Time: Nov. 14 / 9:30-11:30 a.m. Cost: $75

Pitching Clinic Details The Beavers pitching clinics will focus on proper mechanics, form and delivery in a professional environment. The pitching clinic, led by Gorman and Sandt, will also focus on the art of pitching, touching on the topics of key pitches, location and defensive play. Location: PGE Park (on-field/bullpen) Date/Time: Nov. 14 / 12-2 p.m. Cost: $75
