Tulsa 66ers News Release

Tulsa, Okla., October 27, 2009 - The Tulsa 66ers announced today that Leon's on the Restless Ribbon will host their 2009 NBA Development League Draft Party on Thursday, November 5 at 6 pm. Leon's is located in Tulsa's Brookside District on the corner of the 33rd and Peoria.

Fans at the party can watch pick-by-pick analysis of the NBA D-League Draft as it will be telecast on NBA TV throughout the restaurant, as well as streamed on-line (www.nba.com/dleague) beginning at 6 pm CST.

"Each season we look at our roster and evaluate our needs based on players returning from the year before," 66ers Head Coach Nate Tibbetts said. "The Draft allows us to fill our training camp roster with the best possible players that are not currently on an NBA team."

Each of the NBA D-League's 16 teams will be given one pick in each of the eight rounds. The NBA D-League Draft utilizes a "serpentine" format, meaning the order will be reversed in each of the eight rounds. For example, the 66ers pick 16th in the first round and will select first in the second round, giving them the 17th overall choice.

The 66ers front office staff will be present throughout the entire party, along with members of the 2009-10 66ers Dance Team, to make announcements of each selection and to talk about the upcoming season.

Food and drink specials will be available throughout the party, and prizes will be given away throughout the event.
