Toronto Rock Dance Team Auditions Set For November 18

TORONTO - The Toronto Rock have announced that auditions for their 2010 dance team will be Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Dancer registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. with auditions beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.

The team, usually comprised of 12 members, will be expanding its roster to 18 this season. At the audition dancers will be taught a basic jazz routine that will be performed in groups to music. A number of cuts will be made throughout the evening until the team is picked in its entirety.

Judges will be looking for enthusiastic, confident dancers who are physically fit and possess strong athletic skill, energy and showmanship.

The Toronto Rock dance team performs at all eight Rock home games, and make numerous community and charitable appearances throughout the season.

All interested participants over the age of 18 are encouraged to download the registration forms online at http://www.torontorock.com/page/2010-danceteam and bring the completed forms along with a current headshot with them to the audition.

Those selected will make their team debut at the Toronto Rock home opener on January 15, 2009 when they take on the Boston Blazers at the Air Canada Centre.
