PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - With the 2009-10 Central Hockey League season less than a month away, the Arizona Sundogs have introduced a new marketing campaign. 'Sundogs Fever. It Is SpREDing.' represents the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming season and will be used in concert with all in-game entertainment, marketing and promotional opportunities during the season.
"Red is the color of passion, power and heart which is what our organization and our fans have shared since the franchise's arrival in 2006," said Sundogs Director of Business Operations Bill Yates. "Our tagline represents the excitement that will carry our Club through the year and to the playoffs."
Fans will be encouraged to wear red to all Sundogs home games throughout the season at Tim's Toyota Center, and fans that don the color red at select games may enter to win Sundogs merchandise, prizes and more.
The team will host the first 'Red Out' of the year during its Home Opener versus the expansion Allen Americans on Friday, Oct. 16 at Tim's Toyota Center to celebrate the beginning of the 2009-10 season. All fans in attendance at the game will receive a 'Red Out' t-shirt, courtesy of The Daily Courier, Fain Signature Group, Fuddruckers, Kooiman Realty, Yavapai Downs, Patriot Disposal and Northcentral University.
"It is our goal to make Tim's Toyota Center the toughest, most intimidating building to play in this season," added Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro. "The NHL's Calgary Flames and Washington Capitals have done an extremely good job of this, specifically with the implementation of the color red, and we're looking to do the same."
The Sundogs are set to open the 2009-10 regular season at home at Tim's Toyota Center on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 against the Americans. Both games are slated for 7:05pm (Arizona time) starts. Single game tickets are on sale now and start at just $14. For more information call (928) 772-5555 or visit www.arizonasundogs.com.
