Daytona Tortugas News Release
DAYTONA BEACH - The Daytona Cubs are excited to announce former Assistant General Manager Brady Ballard as the new General Manager for the 2010 season. Following the departure of former GM Bill Papierniak, Ballard and the Cubs staff have set their sights high on expanding upon the family entertainment and community contributions of recent seasons.
Ballard, an Economics major from the University of Illinois, will begin his fifth year in Daytona Beach after beginning his career with the Double-A Jacksonville Suns. "I am honored that Big Game Capital has provided me the opportunity to step into the big shoes left by Bill Papierniak. I look forward to our staff continuing to work with our many community partners while providing the area's most affordable family entertainment."
Principal of Big Game Capital Andy Rayburn said, "We're playing Brady ball now."
Over the past seven years the Daytona Cubs have seen over a 100% growth in attendance and expect that trend to continue in 2010. Season tickets are already on sale for next year. To order your tickets today, contact the Cubs at 386-257-3172 or order online at www.daytonacubs.com.
