
Suns, Barons Suspended in Game Three of South Division Series

Jacksonville, Fla. - The third game in the best-of-five South Division Series between the Jacksonville Suns (2-0) and Birmingham Barons (0-2) was suspended in the bottom of the first inning due to heavy rain showers throughout North Florida on Saturday evening.
The game will be resumed on Sunday at 6:05 p.m. with Birmingham holding a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Suns had the bases loaded with one out and Scott Cousins heading to the plate when the rain stopped play.
Sunday's resumed game will be the only game played on Sunday evening. Game four of the series (if necessary) has been pushed to Monday evening at 7:05 p.m. Game four of the series (if necessary) has been pushed to Tuesday.
Barons RH Justin Cassell will resume game three of the series while the Suns pitcher is to be determined.
Tickets from Saturday's game will be honored for Sunday's resumed game. Fans must hold their South Division Series game three ticket or a stub from Saturday's suspended game to gain admission on Sunday.
