Lafayette, LA. August 26, 2009. The IceGators are proud to an- nounce the final dancers to join the GatorGirls Dance Team: Brit- tany Hale, Krysten Theriot, Kristy Jimenez, Ashton Vilcan, Cha- sidy Gautreaux, and Sheridan Riles. The girls have a wide array of experience ranging from cheerleading to professional dance teams throughout Louisiana and Texas and are eager to start the new season.
The girls will be led by choreographer April Lafargue and coor- dinator Lisa Chouest. Lafargue has over 24 years of dance expe- rience, and over ten years of teaching and directing experience. She was a member of the Lake Charles Civic Ballet Company and studied with the Broadway Dance Center, The Edge Performing Arts Center, and Millennium Dance Complex. Chouest is the reigning Mrs. Gulf Coast and a former Saintsation.
The GatorGirls will be at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Block Party on Rex Street to promote the 2009 IceGators season to thousands of students from 11am to 1pm on Friday, August 28. They will be giving out the 2009 schedule and official IceGators t- shirts. Also, there will be a drawing to win a pair of tickets to the season opener!
