Opponents Set for the Abbotsford Heat

ABBOTSFORD BC - As our inaugural season approaches, the Abbotsford HEAT is getting prepared for their upcoming season. As our schedule is nearing completion, the HEAT will now having a better idea of how their schedule will break down and who they will be playing this upcoming season.

The HEAT will play an 80 game regular season, which will be heavy on divisional and conference games, with 40 games being played against NORTH DIVISION rivals and an additional 28 games being played versus their WESTERN CONFERENCE RIVALS in the WEST DIVISON. An additional 12 games will be played versus ATLANTIC DIVISION opponents.

The Heat and their fans will get a good look at most of the Canadian NHL affiliate teams, as division rivals Manitoba Moose (Vancouver Canucks), Toronto Marlies (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal Canadiens) will all visit the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre four times apiece this upcoming season. The Springfield Falcons (Edmonton Oilers) will also make two visits to the Fraser Valley this season.

The American Hockey League will announce the official league schedule in early August. With the AHL playoff format being divisional this season, the division rivalries will surely HEAT up.
