Stars Notes for June 27

Huntsville Stars News Release


The Stars are currently 4-1 and enjoying the view from first place. Tonight is the last game of this six-game home stand. The Stars head to Tennessee to face the Smokies for the next six days. Those Stars season ticket holders that are planning to make the trip to Kodak, TN, for the series, remember that your season ticket holder card is not valid for free admission there on Friday, July 3rd.

Roster moves today: OF Drew Anderson has been activated from the temporary Inactive List and been transferred to Nashville. 3B Taylor Green has been placed on the DL retroactive to June 24th, and coming in to help keep us in first until Taylor gets healthy is 3B Michael Garciaparra from Nashville. For those that slept thru last season, Michael was lights out for the Stars in '08. Brian 'the Massinator' Massey just informed me that he was batting .340. That certainly can't hurt our cause.
