LAKE ELSINORE, CA- The Lake Elsinore Storm would like to officially announce the guidelines and contestants for the Home Run Derby sponsored by Frozen Ropes scheduled for 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 23. The event will start at 6:00 PM and will feature six Minor Leaguers, three from the California League and three from the Carolina League, teamed up with local little leaguers to make six total teams.

The object of the Home Run Derby is to accumulate the most home runs over the duration of the contest. Every hit that doesn't result in a home run will be counted as an out. There are three rounds set up for 10 outs, five outs and three outs per contestant. While the Minor Leaguers will have to try and figure out The Diamond's adverse wall, the Little Leaguers will have to combat against a 180 foot fence set up in the outfield. Trophies will be awarded to the Minor Leaguer that hits the most HRs, the Little Leaguer that hits the most HRs, and the Minor League-Little League pair that accumulates the most HRs between the two.

The teams representing the California League in the Home Run Derby sponsored by Frozen Ropes are Alex Liddi of High Desert and Chris Campbell of Canyon Lake Little League, Joe Dunigan of High Desert and Mitch Kemp of Temecula Youth Baseball, and Jon Gaston of Lancaster and Billy Hayson of Lake Elsinore Little League. The Carolina League representatives are Brandon Waring of Frederick and Grant Johnson of Temecula Central Little League, Lonnie Chisenhall of Kinston and Christopher Cassey of Murrieta National Little League, and Cody Johnson of Myrtle Beach and Chris Begg from Temecula Pony/Frozen Ropes Training Facility. Below are the stats for the Minor League participants.
