La Tribuna del D.C. United Returns to Airwaves on March 18

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 5, 2009) - D.C. United announced today the club's weekly Spanish-language radio program, "La Tribuna del D.C. United," will debut for the 2009 season on Wednesday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. on WZHF Continental Radio 1390 AM. "La Tribuna del D.C. United" will air every Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the course of the 2009 Major League Soccer season.

"We are pleased that 'La Tribuna del D.C. United' will continue through the 2009 season," said United Executive Vice President Stephen Zack. "It is a great vehicle for our Hispanic fans to keep informed about all things D.C. United and we hope they will continue to enjoy the show's offerings."

Hosted for the sixth consecutive year by Alejandro Bravo, a native of Colombia who boasts more than 20 years of experience in radio journalism, "La Tribuna del D.C. United" is an informative program providing fans with weekly rundowns of all things D.C. United, including game recaps from the previous week, in-depth news, features and interviews from players and coaches of the Black-and-Red, and match previews for upcoming games. During the course of the season, fans will have the opportunity to call in and win tickets to United games and other prizes.

Continental 1390 AM, is a 5.4 kilowatts radio station that covers the Washington Metropolitan Area, reaching Latino listeners in DC, Maryland and Virginia, with the most variety of programming. Top radio personalities in the area produce their own programs in this unique radio station, the majority of which are talk shows. Continental 1390 is owned by Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, a New York based company that operates radio stations nationwide in different languages.
