Ding, ding, paging Doctor Sutton, er I mean Voloshin. Yes, here I go again, back under the scalpel. The day to begin my comeback starts in 12 hours as I am heading in for ACL surgery. I hope I fare better than ole Victor Gunderson, "He had so much potential." Well enough about me, let's talk about some more important stuff.

More importantly, we are 72 hours away from opening the "barn down by the genny" for the '09 season. I know the Nest will be rocking as they welcome a great team who is now fortunate to be showcasing two of the best lacrosse players to ever play. One will be wearing #22, and the other trading in #19 for a two-piece and tie. Yes, we now have both Gaits with us. Their experience, coupled with the multitude of talent we already possess, should make for a very potent team this year. The first victims of the new look 'Hawks will be a formidable foe from Pennsylvania. Alliteration aside, I look for our boys to come out and clip the wings. I foresee a hard fought battle between two hard-nosed teams who really do not get along. It should be a good test for the home side, with Philly having done battle this season already.

Battling the microphone will be a challenge for the 'Hawks' new color commentator. Yes, yours truly will be manning the microphone during the upcoming season, or at least game one. "Ripper" will have his hands full trying out the rook, but I am sure his professionalism will carry us through. Hopefully, I don't make a Jack Astor out of myself for once.

Well lax fans, the season has begun. The NLL is back in full force and this weekend should be a beauty. Enjoy.

It's time to say good night.
