SATURDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's games
Walker Russell posted 25 points and 11 assists as the Fort Wayne Mad Ants earned a 121-117 win in overtime against the Iowa Energy. Alex Acker, who was recently assigned to Fort Wayne via the Detroit Pistons, added 20 points.
Cartier Martin led Iowa with a game-high 37 points, including a fallaway 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to force overtime. Courtney Sims finished with 24 points and 16 rebounds, while Curtis Stinson added 12 points and 17 boards.
Keith Brumbaugh scored a season-high 34 points in only his second start to lead the Sioux Falls Skyforce to a 110-92 victory over the visiting Erie BayHawks. Glen McGowan recorded his third straight double-double with 21 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Frank Williams and Carl Elliott chipped in with 14 points apiece.
Erik Daniels led Erie for the second straight night with 18 points and eight rebounds. Mike Cook added 17 points off the bench.
Guard Will Conroy posted a game-high 25 points and dished out 10 assists to help the Albuquerque Thunderbirds earn a 116-105 victory over the host Rio Grande Valley Vipers. All five Albuquerque starters scored in double figures. Forwards David Monds and David Noel recorded double-doubles. Monds scored 21 and grabbed 13 boards, while Noel posted 21 points and 11 rebounds. Cory Underwood added 19 points.
Smush Parker scored 18 points and dished out five assists to lead the Vipers. Quin Humphrey and Alpha Bangura each finished with 14 points. Houston Rockets assignee Joey Dorsey played 27 minutes and scored 11 points and tallied six rebounds.
Jamaal Tatum posted 21 points and 10 assists as the Idaho Stampede earned a 97-94 victory over the visiting Austin Toros. Coby Karl and Luke Jackson added 18 points apiece and Jermareo Davidson collected 12 points and 12 rebounds, finishing the game with his league-leading ninth double-double of the season. Â
Austin was led by Andre Brown and Malike Hairston who each scored 21 points. Charles Gaines added 19 points.
Blake Ahearn poured in 27 points and Will Frisby added 19 points and 14 rebounds as the Dakota Wizards earned a 103-98 victory over the host Anaheim Arsenal. Maurice Baker posted 19 points for the Wizards.
James White led the Arsenal with a game-high 31 points and Marcus Campbell added 15.

16 players with D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, seven as starters.
Bobby Simons finished one rebound short of a double-double, scoring 19 points and nine rebounds for the New Jersey Nets.
Von Wafer and Rafer Alston both started for Houston. Wafer scored 17 and Alston tallied 10 points and nine assists.
Miami's Daequan Cook scored 15 points as a starter for the Heat.
