
Kansas City Wizards Clinch Playoff Berth Thursday After New York Loss at Chicago

(October 23, 2008) - The Kansas City Wizards have officially clinched a playoff berth for the second-consecutive season with the Chicago Fire's 5-2 win over the New York Red Bulls. Tickets for the postseason match at CommunityAmerica Ballpark will go on sale Tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 24) at 10 a.m. CT. Kansas City currently occupies the first "wildcard" spot in the 2008 MLS Cup Playoff picture and will host either the Columbus Crew or Houston Dynamo Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. CT. Playoff tickets are free with a deposit for 2009 Wizards season tickets. The Wizards will host a watch party Saturday for their game against New England at Barley's Brewhaus in Shawnee, Kan. beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT.
