Georgia Gwizzlies Sign Iranian Point GuardOctober 23, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA) Georgia Gwizzlies
"The 5'11" Sami is coming back to the ABA and the Gwizzlies stronger and better than ever. He is currently an NBDL and NBA prospect," according to team owner Embry Malone. "Whether its his 45" vertical helping him do 360's, his amazing quickness and speed or just his overall solid basketball skills, this kid will be doing big things in whatever league he plays."
The Gwizzlies are looking like a solid team this year with key signings and a couple of returning vets. Sami, plus Ron Jackson, James Webb and Kevin Reinhardt will look to be the go-to guys and team leaders. This highly athletic and talented skilled team will be making a huge impact in the league and look to be in the playoffs this year. This is the Gwizzlie season you don't want to miss.
