Storm Watch - News and Notes
The Hurricanes will see the return of 07-08 Captain Ben Wright on Sunday as the elite defenseman arrives back from Ottawa Senators camp. Wright had a strong 2007-2008 campaign which saw him emerge as a leader both on and off the ice for the Canes.
Carter Bancks is also scheduled to return to the Bridge City however Canes fans will have to wait just a little bit longer to see the fan favorite return. Bancks had a strong showing as a member of the Atlanta Thrashers prospects team at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament but injured his foot after earning an invitation to Atlanta's main camp. Bancks is expected to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks.
A familiar face made his return to the ENMAX Centre as part of the festivities on Friday night as Hurricanes alumnus Mike Wuchterl returned to the ice to help present the 2008 WHL Eastern Conference Championship banner.
