Jamestown Jammers News Release

The Rich Products-owned Single-A Jamestown Jammers will host the Staten Island Yankees TONIGHT at 7:05 p.m. at Diethrick Park in Game 1 of the NY-Penn League Semi-Final Series.

The Jammers, short-season affiliate of the Florida Marlins, won the NY-Penn League wild card spot with a 47-29 record this season. They will face the Yankees in a best-of-three game series with games two and three (*if necessary) scheduled in Staten Island. The winner will face the winner of the Lowell (Red Sox)/Batavia (Cardinals) series in the NY-Penn League Championship.

Fans interested in tickets for tonight's game can call the Jammers at (716) 664-0915.

The Jammers are one of three minor league teams owned by Rich Products that make up Rich Baseball Operations. Along with the Jammers and the Buffalo Bisons are the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

In their inaugural season at Arvest Ballpark, the Naturals qualified for the Texas League playoffs by winning the North division in the second half. However, the Naturals fell in the opening round of the post-season to the Arkansas Travelers.
