Krause Sold To The Milwaukee Brewers

DURHAM, NC - The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced today that St. Paul Saints OF Brent Krause has been purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers. Krause will be sent to Double A Huntsville.
Krause batted .317 for St. Paul with 19 home runs, 56 RBI and 112 hits in 93 games. He also scored 71 runs, collected 25 doubles and had a slugging percentage of .555. The resident of Andover, MN finished tied for first in extra base hits (45), tied for third home runs, fourth in slugging percentage, tied for fourth in doubles and tied for eighth in batting average. Krause was just recently named to the 2008 Postseason All-Star Team and was a starter for the North Division team in the 2008 American All-Star Game in St. Paul on July 22.
The 26-year-old becomes the 11th league player sold to a major league organization since the beginning of the 2008 season.
