Roughnecks to Wear American Flag Jerseys

ODESSA, TX. : In celebration of the 4th of July and the Roughnecks hosting the Frisco Thunder (6-8) for the first round of the IFL playoffs on July 5th, 2008, the Odessa Roughnecks have announced that they will wear American Flag designed jerseys for the game. 15 of the American Flag jerseys will be auctioned off at halftime and post-game of the playoff match-up with proceeds going towards to the Boys & Girls Club of Odessa. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:11 p.m. from Benny Boyd Field at the Ector County Coliseum.

"Every year we are so thankful for the support we receive from the Odessa Roughnecks. With support from players and ticket donations, the Roughnecks have been nothing short of great towards the Boys & Girls Club. We only hope that the Roughnecks fans will donate money for the jerseys so that the Boys & Girls Club can continue to strive in success." stated Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Club in Odessa, Kelly J. Koepp.

"This is a great way for the Roughnecks to add towards the celebration of the 4th of July. We want to raise as much money as possible for the Boys & Girls Club and we want to see members of the Permian Basin feel the same. The Roughnecks are blessed to be a part of such a great cause." stated Team President and Owner, Tommy Benizio.

Tickets are still available for the playoff game on July 5th, 2008 with tickets going as low at $11 for adults and $6 for kids.
