Houston Aeros Charities launch summer auction on Tuesday

HOUSTON, TexasTX. - Houston Aeros Charities (HAC) will begin their season early this year with their Inaugural Summer Auction on Tuesday! The auction will last only one week, beginning on Tuesday, August 21 and ending on Tuesday, August 28. Last season HAC raised over $300,000 for multiple local youth charities.

This auction will feature team autographed jerseys, player-hand painted tiles and team autographed aprons from the 9th Annual Celebrity Waiter charity event. These items are from various players from the 2006-07 season including current NHLer Wyatt Smith, 2005 Minnesota Wild first round draft choice Benoit Puliot, Aeros standout Joel Ward and a host of others.

"We our excited to kick off our Inaugural Summer Auction and get started on surpassing last year's mark", said Courtney Eidman, executive director of Houston Aeros Charities. "Our fans have been extremely generous throughout the years and that is greatly appreciated by our organization and the charities that benefit from our events."

Houston Aeros Charities is dedicated to creating programs and fundraising initiatives which address the educational and physical needs of children in the Houston Gulf Coast area by establishing partnerships with social service organizations.
