Staten Island Yankees Single Game Tickets On Sale

The Staten Island Yankees, the New York Yankees Single A affiliate, announced today that single game tickets for the 2007 season will go on sale Saturday, June 2nd at 10:00am. Tickets will be available at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George box office at 10am, online at www.siyanks.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 212-307-7171.
The Staten Island Yankees also announced that Opening Day on Wednesday, June 20th vs. the Brooklyn Cyclones is sold out. This marks the first time ever that a Staten Island Yankees game has been sold out prior to the start of the season.
"We've been thrilled with the market's response to our All-You-Can-Eat Pinstripe Plan and group ticket packages this year," said Executive Vice President/General Manager Jane Rogers. "To have Opening Day sold out before we even put tickets on sale to single game buyers just shows how excited our fans are for the New York Yankees and Mandalay taking over the team."
The team also announced that two other games, Friday, July 6th vs. Brooklyn and a day game on Thursday, July 12th had less than 1,000 seats remaining.
The Staten Island Yankees archrival Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets affiliate) come to Richmond County Bank Ballpark six times in 2007, including Opening Day, June 20th. The Cyclones will be in town July 4th for a special fireworks show, Friday July 6th (fireworks), Tuesday, August 21st, Sunday, September 2nd, and Tuesday, September 4th.
"We packaged our Brooklyn Cyclones games in with our Pinstripe Plan. Since we knew those were our most popular games, we wanted to make sure our package buyers got the best seats," said Rogers.
Less than 2,000 seats remain for the other five games against the Brooklyn Cyclones
The Staten Island Yankees also announced their special event schedule, including the first ever visit by the entertainer, the Famous Chicken, on Friday, August 10th. The team has also scheduled eight fireworks shows for 2007 including almost every Friday home game.
