
2006 Promotional Schedule Is Set

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Class AA affiliate of the New York Yankees, has released its 2006 promotional schedule, which features over a dozen new giveaways plus 21 fireworks shows and seven bobblehead doll giveaways.
The list of new giveaway items and promotions slated for 2006 starts with a Robinson Cano Replica Thunder jersey giveaway for the first 1,000 fans age 5-15 on April 15. This is the first time a former Thunder star has been featured on a replica jersey. On April 30, the first 1,500 fans age 16 & over will receive a Thunder/Yankee Reversible Bucket Hat. May 13 will feature a Thunder Wiffleball Set for the first 1,500 fans age 5-15, while May 14 will have Mothers Day Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Thunder Hats for the first 1,500 mother's age 18 & over. Boomer's Birthday Party will be held on May 28 this season and will feature the first ever Boomer "Wobblehead" Doll for the first 2,000 fans age 6 & over. On June 13, the first 1,500 fans age 6 & over will get a Thunder Camouflage Hat.
The Thunder will be giving away a three piece Pint Glass Collectors Series in 2006. Fans can get the first collectible, a Thunder Retro Logo Pint Glass on June 19, the second, an Irish/ Thunder Pint Glass on Irish-American Night on July 17 and the final collectible, a Thunder Logo Pint Glass, on August 21. All three giveaways are for the first 1,500 fans age 21 and over.
On June 20, the Thunder will kick off the summer season with a Thunder Flip Flop Giveaway for the first 1,000 fans age 12 & over. June 22 will feature a first-of-its-kind Reverse Giveaway Night where fans are asked to bring an unwrapped gift to the game and the team will donate it to the appropriate charity. On July 9, the first 2,000 fans age 5-15 will receive a Thunder Logo Softball. The first 3,000 fans age 6 & over at Waterfront Park on August 18 will get a Thunder rally towel and the first 1,500 fans age 5-15 on August 20 will get a Chase Metal Lunch Box.
The most popular promotions and giveaways from year's past will be back on the schedule for next season. The team will host 21 post game fireworks displays including Opening Night (April 13), July 4 and July 5. There will be seven bobblehead doll giveaways this season. The players to be featured on the dolls will be announced at a later date.
Other returning giveaway items include two baseball glove days (April 29, June 4), four group sleepovers (May 12, June 2, July 7 and August 4), two baseball bat giveaways (June 6, August 6), plus a beach towel night (May 26), replica jersey day (June 25), hat night (July 6), t shirt night (July 28) and a logo baseball night (August 22).
Full and Half-Season Ticket Plans are currently available for purchase now. Fans can call the Thunder at (609) 394-3300 or stop by the Thunder Ticket Office at Waterfront Park. Hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mon.- Fri.).
Group Outings, Birthdays and Picnic Outings, as well as The Yankee Club and Conference Center, are also available for booking. To book a date for a Group Outing, contact the Thunder Group Sales Department at (609) 394-3300, ex. 105.
Ticket prices will stay the same as in 2005. Full-Season tickets for the 71-game schedule are $597 with Half-Season ticket plans at $315. Individual Game Tickets are $9 for Pavilion and Club Seating and $6 for Terrace
Seating. Senior Citizens and children, age 5-12, can get Pavilion and Club Seats for $8 and Terrace seats for $5. All individual game tickets will be available for purchase in early 2006.
Game times for the 2006 season will be Monday- Friday at 7:05 PM, Saturday (April- mid May) at 1:35 PM, Saturday (mid-May- September) 7:05 PM and Sunday at 1:35 PM. The Thunder will also play six "mid-week" day games as part of the Educational Days/ Summer Day Camp Days series. The games on May 2, May 16 and June 7 will start at 11:05 AM. The games on July 10, July 19 and August 8 will start at 11:35. The Thunder will play one scheduled Sunday "night" game at 6:05 PM over Labor Day Weekend (Sunday, September 3rd).
