(Nashua, NH) Shane Hopper's one-out sacrifice fly in the eleventh inning scored Orlando Miller with the winning run lifting the Nashua Pride to a 5-4 victory over the Long Island Ducks Wednesday night at Historic Holman Stadium. The Nashua win forces a third and deciding game in the Atlantic League North Division Championship Series. Game Three is set for Nashua Thursday at 6:35 PM.

Long Island took the early lead in the third inning when Manny Martinez singled-home Steve Torrealba for the first run of the game.

The Pride took a 2-1 lead in the home third when David Francia stroked an RBI double scoring Hopper. Jimmy Hurst followed with a single to score Francia.

Nashua extended its lead to 4-1 in the fourth on a two-run homer by Miller off Long Island starter Pedro Borbon, Junior. Borbon worked seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits.

The Ducks then started to chip away against Pride starter Nate Teut. Jason Johnson opened the Long Island fifth inning with a home run to get the Ducks back to within two. Long Island made it a one-run deficit in the sixth when Armadno Rios singled-home Donny Leon who reached on a two-out double off Tuet. The run-scoring single by Rios knocked Teut out of the ballgame.

Long Island took advantage of a Hopper error in the top of the ninth to tie it at 4-4. With one out and runners at second and third, Martinez hit a line drive to third. The liner was misplayed by Hopper allowing pinch runner Dominick Ambrosini to score the tying run.

As it turned out, Hopper went from goat to hero a couple of innings later when he delivered the game-winning fly ball.

Pride reliever Mike Marchesano, the seventh Nashua pitcher of the night, earned the win. Marchesano struck out Carlos Hernandez with two Ducks on the pond in the top of the eleventh. It was the only batter Marchesano faced.

Matt Beech, the fourth Long Islander hurler, worked the eleventh and suffered the loss.

The Pride will send left-hander Pete Hartmann to the mound in Thursday night's Game Three. Hartmann was 2-0 on the regular season with the Pride in five appearances. Long Island is scheduled to start its top winner, lefty Lance Davis, who was 11-8 during the regular season.
