Mystics announce training camp roster

Washington, D.C. â Training camp for the Washington Mystics will begin on Sunday, April 24th at MCI Center. The following players are on the 2005 Training Camp roster:

Washington's training camp roster features Alana Beard, Murriel Page, Charlotte Smith-Taylor and 2005 WNBA Draft pick Temeka Johnson. Helen Luz, Chasity Melvin, Delisha Milton-Jones and Iciss Tillis will join the team following their overseas commitment.
"We feel that we have great depth and versatility on our training camp roster and we look forward to blend that talent with our new head coach," said Hargrove.
The team will cut its roster to 15 on Tuesday, May 3rd before making its final cut on Friday, May 20th. Following media day on April 25th at MCI Center, the team will move to Gallaudet University on Tuesday, April 26th for the rest of the week and will practice from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Washington will host the Los Angeles Sparks for its home preseason game on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $ 9.50 and are currently on sale. Fans can purchase tickets by visiting the MCI Center Box Office or calling TicketMaster Phone Charge at (202) 397-SEAT
The 2005 Mystics season kicks off on Saturday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. when the team travels to Charlotte to take on the Sting. Washington will have its home opener on Sunday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m. versus Eastern Conference Champions Connecticut Sun. Follow 8th Street until it dead ends at Florida Avenue, NE and Gallaudet's main entrance.
