Bucks Sign Parlatore

LAREDO, Texas â The 2004 CHL President's Cup champion Laredo Bucks announced today the signing of center Domenic Parlatore to a contract for the 2004-05 CHL season. Parlatore, 5'8" 180-pounds, has spent all five of his professional seasons playing overseas. For Bucks season or single game tickets call (956)-718-BUCKS (2825) or log onto www.laredobucks.com.
The 26-year old center iceman from Niagara Falls, Ontario, had his best pro season when he tied for third in the British National League with 43 goals in 2001-02 while playing with the Paisley Pirates. He was second in the BNL with 95 points and was selected to the All-Star team.
"Domenic is a fast skater who has proved he can score some goals," said Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski. "He is not a rookie, he is not a veteran. He is a guy who has been thru the battles. His ability to score will allow us to have three lines that can put the puck in the net."
Prior to his stint in the BNL, he spent two years in Germany playing with Hamm. He totaled 73 goals in the two years.
He spent the majority of last season with Merano in the top Italian league. Parlatore had 12 goals in 28 games and finished with 32 points.
Training camp for the Bucks opens on October 11th. The Bucks host an exhibition game at the LEC on October 17th against the Mexican National Ice Hockey Team. Laredo opens the 2004-05 CHL season on the road October 22nd in San Angelo. The Bucks begin the home campaign on October 23rd against the Corpus Christi Rayz.
