
Macias named to CHL All-Rookie Team

KAMLOOPS, BC â Kamloops Blazer defenseman Ray Macias was named to the Canadian Hockey League's All-Rookie Team today as part of the awards handed out during Memorial Cup week in Kelowna.
Macias, 17, played in 69 games during his first WHL season, scoring 12 goals and adding 17 assists to go along with a +4 rating.
Macias, a 6-foot-1, 187-pound blueliner from Long Beach, CA, is eligible for the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Other members of the CHL All-Rookie Team include forwards Sidney Crosby (Rimouski), Gilbert Brule (Vancouver), and Bryan Little (Barrie), defenseman Boris Valabik (Kitchener), and goaltender David Shantz (Mississauga).
