January 26, 2025 - Independence, MO - The Chihuahua Savage (9-2-0) showed their road vulnerability in dropping their second straight away from Corner Sport Arena, this time a 5-2 decision to the Kansas City Comets (6-1-2) in front of 5,194 fans at Cable Dahmer Arena. This game featured the matchup from last season's Ron Newman Cup Finals.
Each team scored one time in the opening frame with Kansas City's Nathan Durdle picking up his first career MASL goal with 2:11 to go in the quarter.

January 24, 2025 - INDEPENDENCE, MO. - The Chihuahua Savage (9-1-0) are in Missouri for just their third road game this season and for a 2024 Ron Newman Cup Finals rematch with the Kansas City Comets (5-1-2) at Cable Dahmer Arena tomorrow. The Savage enter the game riding a four-game win streak. Their lone loss came on the road in San Diego.

Mexico's largest state also has the most powerful team in the Major Arena Soccer League: Chihuahua Savage.
The "Salvajes" beat the Kansas City Comets 5-4 and won the MASL two-time championship, to the joy of a packed Corner Sport Arena, which supported its team at all times, even to the rhythm of live mariachi.
With the score at 4-4 and only 1:20 seconds left, Hugo Puentes took the ball on the left side of the area and in a half-turn he scored from goalkeeper Neto, to score the difference.
