Zane Johnson to Play in NBA Summer League

(LONDON, Ontario) -- The London Lightning is excited to announce that Zane Johnson has been invited to play in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League for the New York Knicks.
The Las Vegas Summer League starts this Friday, July 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. (NBATV) when the New York Knicks take on the Dallas Mavericks.
"Zane is a tremendous shooter and shooters of his caliber are very hard to find. NBA teams have million dollar scorers and are always on the search for specialists - Zane is a shooting specialist. This is a huge opportunity for him and he needs all of our Lightning fans tuning in to cheer him on," said General Manager Taylor Brown.
Johnson joined the London Lightning late in the 2013-2014 season and made an immediate impact on the court, specifically from behind the three point line.
"Depending on the outcome of the Las Vegas Summer League, Johnson should receive an invite to the official New York Knicks Training Camp in the fall, failing which we hope to have him back in a Lightning uniform for next season."
